I was telling Shaug about my recent t-shirt design... we were out w/ some friends, one of which is Wes, and so, this idea kinda got cooked up. I took the smore pix (at left) and gussied it up a bit w/ photoshop and made a t-shirt design. Let me know if you want a good copy for a t-shirt. :) - I could change the name easily enough too, if Wesley doesn't suit you.
For daru, we put this one on a light brown ringer tee from old navy... its so funny. :)

Merry Christmas!
Editor's note: I moved the Merry Christmas Greynauts movie from an embedded video to a link. It's a heavyweight post when it's embedded, and since it's not brand new anymore this will save everyone from having to download it every time they load the main blog page. Click the image to download the video. -- Shaug

I didn't even make this t-shirt up, but I couldn't resist sharing...
Because everything is cute until it poops.

A quiet visitor
So I was trimming a tree last weekend to protect a nearby power line, and it left a huge pile of foliage on the ground about 50 feet from my office window. This morning I heard some bluebirds busily crying out for at least a minute straight (which isn't normal) and figured I'd take a look to see what all the fuss was about. I looked over near the sound and saw the top of this deer peeking out above the brush. You can just barely see his ears poking above the branches in the center. I tried to get a better shot, but he disappeared by the time I got near.

The Farm Report
Through a sad event we lost a sheep, but we just got two more last weekend to keep 'ol faithful Gurt company.
They are Jacob sheep, some sources beleive they are the same breed held by Jacob of the Old Testament, they are white with brown/black spots and have 2 - 6 hornes. beautiful creatures, intersting personalities, low maintenence lawn mowers.
As a primitive breed they need little care but still have good fleece and reportably good meat (I should name our future lambs things like "mutton" and "haggus" just in case). -I'll get a picture of "Summer Storm" and "Shannon" up soon
We worked on our pasture expansion project today and will be buiding a chicken coop soon so that we can take care of ourselves! A garden is planned for the spring and our apples are tasty! Do you know if I can send you guys apples or cherries when they are in season? Our fruit is very tasty and we have more than we know what to do with.
Shaug and Amy: if the world gets gnarly and you need it, I'll send a breedable pair of sheep to your family's outpost down there :)
I love you all a lot and Basil and me(I) can't to see you all next month!

Poo!
This afternoon Basil started being fussy; so, naturally, I thought he might have to go to the bathroom. I took him in and sat him on the toilet.
And lo! He grunted and let out a nice one!
His first toilet poo!!!
I was so proud, I thought you would be to.

I saw this sign in a public restroom today.
Ok. The part about magazines I get...lots of us read in there. In fact, I always liked Ozzie because they're all one crap long...but why would you leave your magazine in the restroom?
The part about cups though...wth?
